The Shimano family, longtime Nellie Gail Ranch residents, came to me with a closet that had simply outgrown its system. Beautiful pieces were tucked away and hard to find, everyday favorites were buried, and there was no real sense of where anything belonged.
The Brief
The goal was full functionality and full visibility — every piece of clothing, jewelry, and accessory should have a clear home, and nothing should get lost in the shuffle again. This wasn't just about the closet either; we tackled their game and storage spaces too, bringing the same level of organization throughout.
The Process
We started by editing down and grouping like with like, then built a system around how the family actually gets dressed and lives day to day. Watches, jewelry boxes, and accessories were given dedicated, visible display space rather than being hidden in drawers, so favorite pieces are easy to reach and just as easy to enjoy looking at.
The Result
The Shimano family was thrilled with the final result — a closet that finally works as hard as they do, with everything visible, accessible, and in its place. It's one of my favorite kinds of transformations, because the impact is something the family feels every single morning.
